The need for high strength to weight ratio materials that is at the same time easy
to process, have strong chemical resistance, possilble recyclelability and raw
material storage time have increased the need for better long fiber thermoplastic
technology in the last few years. High viscosity of thermoplastic have always been
the problem to impregnated them with reinforcements like glass, carbon and kevlar.
At NCC an innovative technique is used to sucessfully wet the reinforcement strands
with the thermoplstic polymer to manufacture the fully wet long fiber thermoplastic
composites.

Virtual Laboratories are projects that involve research collaboration or
experimentation carried out at a distance without actually being at the
experimentation site. With Virtual laboratory a scientist can remotely
control instruments and share data between other groups of scientists
right from his home institution. This would be the future trend in experiments
carried out in research institutions and universities. Click here for more

The Loitering Attack Missile (LAM) is an expendable, loitering hunter-killer missile.
It will search the battlefield for targets of opportunity relaying its location back
to commanders who will determine to destroy the target by means of the LAM, a PAM
missile or another asset. The LAM missile being developed by Lockheed-Martin and
features a Laser Radar (LADAR) seeker with automatic target recognition and is powered
by a micro-turbojet which makes possible to be loitering for 30 minutes at 70 kilometers
from the launch location. Click here for more.

Liquid Membrane (LM) separation technique provides a potentially powerful technique
for effecting a diverse number of separation operations. Compared to conventional
LM processes, Liquid Emulsion Membrane (LEM) processes have certainly some attractive
features like simple operation, high efficiency, extraction and stripping in one
stage, larger interfacial area and scope of continuous operation. LEM technique has
greater potential for recovery and removal of different metal ions and hydrocarbons
from wastewater than conventional methods, which have lower separation efficiency.
